A car and minivan collided on Route 26 in Mechanic Falls early
Wednesday night sending both vehicles into the snow at the side of the
road. The minivan flipped onto its side and the car slipped off the
road in the 6 p.m. wreck but no serious injuries were reported.
Mechanic Falls police were investigating the crash. Requests for
information were referred to Chief Jeff Goss, who was not expected to
be on duty until Thursday morning, a dispatcher said. A witness said
the vehicles collided near Parent Lumber on Route 26.
