SUMNER — Selectmen voted Tuesday night to continue with Tri-Town and Med-Care ambulance services for the next 90 days.
Tri-Town Rescue based in West Paris, announced Jan. 7 that it has a 90-day management agreement with Med-Care. After 45 days, Med-Care, which is based in Mexico, will decide if it will merge with Tri-Town.
Tri-Town Rescue is the closest unit to Sumner with advanced life support capabilities.
In other business, it was agreed to drop the dog violation charges in the Maurice Hart case due to lack of documentation. There is a pending charge of animal cruelty against Hart by the state.
Sean Corcoran who lives on Labrador Pond has removed the rocks from the top of the dam at the culvert on Valley Road. Selectman Mark Silber said he would check with Road Commissioner James Keach to see if everything was in order at the dam.
The board learned that John E. O’Donnell & Associates of New Gloucester will start an assessing update for a revaluation by the fall. There will be no site visits; O’Donnell will be checking on recent home sales.

A Swap Shop report showed more than 31 tons of items were recycled in 2009.
