WEST PARIS — The Friends of the West Paris Library had a successful “Let Your Light Shine” fundraiser. On Dec. 15, the sparkling white lights outlining the library were lit and a big red heart in the window glowed. 

Lights were given in honor or in memory of family and friends. The lights will remain through Valentine’s Day.

The addition is well on its way to completion. Support has come from the West Paris community, school children, local contractors and businesses, as well as individuals and businesses from surrounding towns. The support comes in many ways: financial, giving of time and talent, encouragement and patronship.

The trustees and friends of the library invite everyone to the grand opening celebration at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6. The snow date will be Feb. 7.
