Stephens Memorial Hospital was recently named one of the top three rural hospitals in the country for its delivery of quality care based on results from the Leapfrog Group Survey. M. Patricia Cook, RN, BSN, MBA, EdD, senior vice president of clinical services at Stephens Memorial Hospital, Dr. David Kumaki and Kathy Bonney, RN, MSN, vice president of performance improvement, were on hand when the hospital was presented a letter of congratulations from the state for their recent designation. State Rep. Terry Hayes, Sen. David Hastings and Rep. H. Sawin Millett Jr. presented a letter from the state which read "We congratulate Stephens Memorial Hospital on its receiving this high honor."
