LEWISTON – The Lewiston Jr. Maineiacs peewee travel hockey team enjoyed an explosive weekend with three lopsided wins and a tie, scoring a total of 43 goals in the four games.

Lewiston launched the run with an 11-0 shutout of Penobscot Valley Jr. Blackbears at Brewer. The second win was a 12-2 rout of Gorham Huskies at USM Arena. The Junuirs had enough left in the tank for a 2-2 road tie with Biddeford before returning home to roll past Penobscot again, 18-.

Kyle Welsh and Trent Spaulding provided soild goaltending throughout the weekend.

Offensive statistics were as follows: Caleb Labrie, 10 goals, six assists; Cam Stewart, five goals, seven assists; Jacob Charest, five goals, three assists; Kyle Morin, five goals, two assists; Brady Cusson, four goals, two assists; Reid Pomerleau, three goals, three assists; Brendon Croteau and Cody Woodward, three goals, one assist; Kyle Zamrock, one goal, four assists; Kyle Ullrich and Jonathan Sturgis, one goal, two assists; Ryley Austin, one goal; Jed Drapeau, one goal, one assist; Jozef Frechette, five assists.
