Deanna K. Cox
1938 – 2010

LEWISTON — Deanna K. Cox passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, Jan. 24, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Norway, Jan. 13, 1938, the daughter of Humphrey and Mildred Herrick. She attended Norway schools and was a waitress in the local area, making many friends and acquaintances from her years at Goodwin’s Restaurant, Mac’s Variety and most recently Rolly’s Diner in New Auburn.

She took up country line dancing in her younger years, where she met her long-time companion, Tony Paine. They enjoyed their home on the shore of Lake Auburn. Together with Tony, she enjoyed traveling to area casinos, as well as a trip to Alaska.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred of Norway; a sister, Donna Bedard of Norway; her loving companion, Tony Paine; two daughters, Martha Wiseman and her husband, Jacques, of Mechanic Falls and Gemma Boutilier and her husband, Tim, of Waterford; three grandchildren, Mindi Ward, Nikki Ward and Jacques Wiseman II; as well as two great-grandchildren, Martika Ward and Kylie Blanchette.

She was predeceased by her father, Humphrey; her brother, Donald Herrick; and her grandson, Joshua Robichaud.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Norway Rehabilitation Center, St. Mary’s Hospital and Dr. Kurt Oswald for making her last days peaceful ones. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Hillside Cemetery in South Paris.
