Philip R. Greaton
1926 – 2010
LEWISTON — Philip R. Greaton, 83, of Auburn, died Saturday, Jan. 23, at Central Maine Medical Center after a short illness with his family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, July 13, 1926, the son of William W. Sr. and Catherine (Harden) Greaton. He was employed by the Charlie Moore Farm prior to his retirement.
He enjoyed riding bicycles, playing cards, television and loved his front porch, birdwatching and the outdoors.
He is survived by three brothers, Richard A. Greaton of Poland, Robert E. Greaton of Auburn and Allen E. Greaton of Oklahoma; three sisters, Barbara A. Shaw and her husband, Charles, Shirley J. Hunt and her husband, John and Connie M. Robinson and her husband, Tom, all of Auburn; a sister-in-law, Ruth Greaton of Jay; a brother-in-law, Clem Leonard of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and two cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, William W. Greaton Jr.; and a sister, Becky Leonard.
