FRYEBURG — Peter J. Malia Jr., a partner at Hastings Law Office, P.A., has been elected President of the Maine Association of Mediators. His two-year term began on Jan. 1.
Malia is a lawyer and mediator in Maine and New Hampshire. His practice
focuses on the areas of civil litigation, municipal law and land use
law.
The Maine Association of Mediators, established in 1989, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about the benefits of alternative dispute resolution, and assisting its network of members with their professional development in the fields of mediation, arbitration, early neutral evaluation and facilitation.
Members of the organization provide services to Maine individuals and businesses, as well as the Maine court system. Several programs and conferences will be held throughout the year.
