FARMINGTON — U.S. Congressman Mike Michaud will attend the town Democratic caucuses that are being held Sunday, Jan. 31, in Farmington and Jay, according to Franklin County Democrats Chair Anne Geller.

“We are proud to welcome Congressman Michaud and look forward to an exchange of ideas and information at these caucuses,” Geller said.

Four towns (Farmington, Industry, Temple and Chesterville) are caucusing in Farmington at UMF’s Thomas Auditorium in Ricker Hall on High Street at 3 p.m. The Jay town Democrats are meeting at the Jay Middle School cafeteria, on Route 4, at 4:30 p.m.

All 21 towns in Franklin County are holding caucuses Sunday afternoon. For the time and location of each caucus, go to www.franklindems.com or contact Geller at ageller@gwi.net or 778-6672.

All registered Democrats are welcome to attend. In addition, people who are not registered to vote or who are not enrolled in any party may register and enroll at the caucus.

Attendees will elect town and county committee members and officers as well as delegates to the Democratic State Convention to be held May 21-22 in Lewiston. In addition, several candidates or their
representatives will attend each caucus, and there will be discussions about local, state and national issues.
