LOVELL — Two men were arrested Wednesday in relation to a Stow home burglary, and several more were charged in New Hampshire as a result of the investigation.
Arthur G. Chadwick, 30, and Rondelle Hendrickson, 25, both of Allen Road in Lovell, remained at the Oxford County Jail on Thursday on charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief. The pair are charged with stealing a generator, stereo and flat screen television from a Stow residence on Jan. 3.
According to a report by Sgt. Tim Ontengco and Deputy Josh Wyman of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Ben Hawthorne of Freedom, N.H., told police that Chadwick gave him a stereo as repayment for money that he was owed. Hawthorne reported the matter to police after another person recognized the stereo as one that had been stolen. The television was later found to have been traded to Hawthorne for a three-wheeler.
The report says that Chadwick told police that three other people, including Hawthorne, took part in the theft. He also later named Hendrickson, who admitted to involvement as well.
The generator was found at a Conway, N.H., pawn shop. Hawthorne was arrested following the discovery of stolen property at his own residence.
Detective Chris Kevlin of the Conway Police Department said six people were arrested as a result of investigations following the recovery of the generator. He said three were involved in the theft of cash, beer and cigarettes from Twombly’s Market in North Conway and three were pawning goods stolen from homes in Maine.
“They’ll be charged with the burglaries from Maine, but they’ll also be charged with getting the money from the pawn shop,” Kevlin said.
