St. Dom’s Provides Dividends for Life

By Donald Fournier
Principal

All parents invest time, energy and money to ensure their children receive what they need to be successful and productive adults. If you want your children to have dividends for life, than look no further than St. Dom’s. We at St. Dom’s continues to offer a well balanced and rigorous program which combines a wide range of courses with an emphasis on community service. This tried and true method of learning has made St. Dom’s an important presence in the Western Maine community for Catholics and non-Catholics alike. St. Dom’s continues to expand its course offerings, recently adding Spanish, AP Physics and online courses through the Virtual High School program. The following is a sampling of what St. Dom’s has to offer:

Weekly Masses are held in our Commons with our Chaplain, Fr. Bob Vaillancourt, and assisted by our Campus Minister, Deacon Steve Harnois.

Our sports teams compete at a very high level and our varsity teams rarely miss a chance to participate in each season’s playoff tournaments.

Our English Department sponsors a “Poetry Out Loud” competition.

Most of our seniors are preparing for the school’s 13th trip to one of the poorest counties in the nation to help the people in Mound Bayou, Mississippi.

For Catholics in the Western and Central Maine area, we are your Diocesan school and promise to continue teaching your children what you began after their baptism. For non-Catholics, our staff is well-versed in ways to include your children and will use the basis of scripture to instill Christian values in your child. The dividends you receive from a St. Dom’s education are limitless. Become a member of our family and see what a comprehensive Catholic education can do for you.
