Postponement
LEWISTON — “Go with the Flow: Valvular Heart Disease,” a presentation by Lewiston cardiologist Michael Lemieux, M.D., that was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6, at Willy Beans Bistro and Café, has been postponed. The event will be rescheduled for a later date.
Board meeting
AUBURN — Community Concepts Inc. will hold its board of directors meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, in the meeting room of Androscoggin Valley Council of Government facility, 125 Manley Road. All meetings are open to the public. For more information, call 739-6564.
Daylily society
CAMDEN — The Maine Daylily Society will present the gardens and daylilies of Don Church of Blue Hill Country Garden at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at the Camden Public Library, Route 1, Camden. Don will present his wife’s photos of his hybridizing program.
Last year, Church was invited to speak and share his program at the Canadian chapter of the American Hemerocallis Society at their Can-Am Classic in Toronto. All are welcome to attend the free event. For more information, call 236-4085.
Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Feb. 1 were as follows: first, Henry Lerette and Paul Mitnik; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; fourth, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Schooner Estates. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games in the area. Bridge players are needed to continue the bridge games for the next two months.
Canine party
LEWISTON — Pack Life will have its first annual Valentine’s Day party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb 13, at the Kennel Shop in the Lewiston Mall. There will be treats for both people and canines. Attendees will also have a chance to have their picture taken with their dogs.
Pack Life will also host a raffle to help raise money for the Pack Life spay/neuter fund, with many prizes up for grabs. For more information, visit www.packlife.org.
