Daughters to meet

RUMFORD — Members of St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughter of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Holy Savior Church Hall. Committee members are: chairwoman Kim Kelcourse, Debbie Nokes, Gladys Gilbert, Lisa Barrieau and Arita Zitoli.

Fishing derby

ROXBURY — The Mexico Lions Club will host the 31st annual Larry Mercier
Memorial Ice Fishing Derby from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at
Roxbury Pond. The entrance fee is $10.

All prizes will be
awarded at 3 p.m. on the day of the derby. The Lions Club Lunch Wagon

Quilters

RUMFORD — The Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at the Rumford
United Methodist Church, Linnell Street. A demonstration on the cathedral window pattern is planned. Twelve-and-a-half inch squares will be collected for those who wish to participate.
The square may be either pieced or appliqued but must include some red
fabric.

Homemakers meeting

PERU — The Peru Extension Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Peru Baptist Church. Those attending are asked to bring articles for the nursing home box. The group will make pillows and members should bring cloth, scissors, thread, needles and pins.

Following the meeting, the group will go to Mrs. B’s Store for lunch.
