MEXICO — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine held a monthly meeting on Jan. 26, at the Green Church.

The church ladies served a “mystery meal,” which meant the Red Hatters had to figure out clues on the menu before getting meals or eating utensils. Thirty-four Red Hat ladies were in attendance.

A Valentine Scrabble game was played, and the co-queen read a couple of poems. The traveling teapot exchange was made for February. January birthdays were recognized.

There was an update on membership records, and members were reminded to pay 2010 dues.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Mexico Recreation Center. It will be a complete spaghetti dinner. Cost will be $10, to be paid before Friday, Feb. 19.
