AUBURN — Thos. Moser, designers and builders of heirloom quality handcrafted wood furniture, announced that Colleen McCracken will take on a new leadership role at the company as chief executive officer.
McCracken will work with the senior management team to develop and implement the vision and strategic planning for the company. This change is effective immediately.
McCracken joined Thos. Moser in 1997 and has held several key positions including controller, chief financial officer and, most recently, chief operating officer. In addition to her new duties as CEO, she will continue to oversee all daily operations of the company including finance, manufacturing, operations, sales, marketing, human resources and information technology.
McCracken earned a bachelor of science degree in accountancy from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass., and completed graduate level courses at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.
Following her studies, she moved to Maine where she took a position as a public accountant and then moved into private industry. She has been employed by several large New England corporations, including W.R. Grace in Woburn, Mass., and G.H. Bass and Company in South Portland. She also continued her graduate studies at the University of Southern Maine while employed at G.H. Bass and Company.
She has been a member of the Catholic School Consolidation Task Force as well as chairwoman of the finance committee and the school board of Trinity Catholic School. She also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership and the Maine Institute for Family Owned Business.
