ROCKLAND, Maine (AP) — Two Maine women are in jail and facing charges they kidnapped and beat an 18-year-old woman they had lured to a Rockland apartment for drinks.

Police say 31-year-old Felicity Butler of Rockland and 27-year-old Jessica Gagnon of Thomaston were arrested within the last 10 days and charged with kidnapping, terrorizing and assault.

Police say the victim told investigators she was attacked after arriving at the apartment Dec. 5. She was then dragged out of the apartment into a car and taken to another location.

The victim’s boyfriend then called police.

The Bangor Daily News says the victim had bruising and cuts on her head.

There’s no indication what motivated the alleged attack.
