She enjoys school, especially art class and likes to keep her room looking neat. She receives special services and has one-on-one support. Supervision is needed during lunch time and she is given an altered menu. She also requires speech therapy.
Harriett participated in cross country this year and enjoyed being part of a team. She has also played basketball through the Recreation Department and has attended Girl Scout activities. Her favorite thing to do in summer is attend camp, which she has done three times. Swimming and riding horses are her favorite camp activities.
She has some special needs that require close supervision, especially with eating. She has been in her current foster home for more than three years. This is the only home she has lived in while in foster care. She visits her biological family once a month.
does well with younger children, although she usually plays by herself. She requires supervision with older males. She interacts well with animals and has a cat and dog in her foster home. She would do best in a two-parent family. An adoption subsidy may be available.
Brenden, a polite and funny child, was born in March 1999. He likes to play outside, ride his bike, swim and go rollerblading. He’d like to learn how to snowboard and skateboard.
When indoors, he enjoys playing videogames or watching movies, especially the “Harry Potter” and “Shrek” series. He is learning to play guitar.
Those who’ve worked with Brenden say he has a good sense of humor and likes to please others. He also likes to take things apart and try to put them back together.
Brenden, who does well in public school, receives special-education support to complete his work and stay on task. He makes friends easily and can be supportive to his peers. One-on-one time with an adult would be helpful for him. An adoption subsidy may be available.
