LEWISTON — John Dorrer, director of the Center for Workforce Research and Information of the Maine Department of Labor, will speak at the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce breakfast program this month. It will be held at 7:15 a.m. Feb. 11 at the Ramada Inn Conference Center on Pleasant Street.

 Dorrer will present “Recession and Recovery — Challenges for Maine.” He is an economist and research administrator focused on workforce development, human capital and labor market policies at the state and local level. He is responsible for overseeing the state of Maine’s work force statistics systems for measuring employment, unemployment and labor market developments, including forecasting skill requirements and work force needs. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics and a master of science degree in resource economics from the University of New Hampshire.

The breakfast is sponsored by Next Level Business Coaching and Bangor Savings Bank.
