JOHN H. MAYBERRY
1932 – 2010
GORHAM – John H. Mayberry, 77, of Tow Path Road, died Friday, Feb. 5, at a Portland hospital.
He was born in Gorham on April 24, 1932, a son of George Hall and Nellie May Burnell Mayberry. Educated in the Gorham schools, he then enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. After that, he worked for L.C. Andrew for 30-plus years, and then ended his career at the Westbrook Spinning Mill. John was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the N.R.A.
Survivors include a stepson, William Beaumier of Augusta; brothers, Paul Mayberry and Norman Mayberry; grandchildren, Robert H. Beaumier Jr., Greg Beaumier, Pam Fecteau, Calvin Beaumier and Michelle Martell; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his wife, Ruth E. Nealey Mayberry; and a stepson, Robert H. Beaumier Sr.
