EAST ANDOVER — Funeral services for Robert Bennett Swain of East Andover, were conducted Saturday at the Andover First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Jane Rich officiating. Organist was Mrs. Linda Dyer. Music included, “This is My Father’s World,” by the congregation, “On Eagles Wings,” by the church choir, “He Wears a Pair of Silver Wings,” by pianist Ross Swain, “Tennessee Waltz,” by Violinist Dan Lanier, and “Amazing Grace,” sung by Raymond and Diane Holt. Kay Swain read, “The Road Not Taken.” Words of Remembrance were given by Matthew Swain. Military honors were presented by the Mundt-Allen and Napoleon Ouellette, American Legion Posts, and the Maine Military Funeral Honors program. Chaplain, Dane Curato. Honor Guard, Ed Roach, Al McKenna, Joe Arsenault, Roger Miller, Al Hannington. Color Guard, Robert McCartney, Brian Strickland, Jerry Greenwell, Elmer Bean. Poppy presenter, Jeri Brooks Greenwell. “Taps,” Carla Beaudoin. Flag folders and presenters from Maine Military Funeral Honors in Augusta. Pallbearers were, Richard Sullivan, Ronald White, David White, Daniel White, Freeman Farrington and Clayton Pelletier. Interment in the spring will be at the Rumford Center Cemetery, Rumford Center.
