Germaine M. Terrell
1918 – 2010

LEWISTON — Germaine M. Terrell, 91, a few days shy of 92, a resident of Russell Park Living Center, died Sunday, Feb. 7, at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice House, with her family by her side.

She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, Feb, 28, 1918, the daughter of Thomas and Madeline Albert.

Survivors include four sons, Gilbert Coppersmith Jr. of Augusta, Van Terrell of Jacksonville, Fla., Thomas Terrell and his wife, April, of Portland, Ore., and Stephen Terrell of Tarpin Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Sandra LaChance and her husband, Larry, of Lisbon Falls and Sonya Nelson and her husband, Rory, of Cape Coral, Fla.; a nephew, Rudy Albert; a niece, Joanne Albert; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was employed as a dental assistant and bookkeeper for several
years. After retirement, she enjoyed summers at Bailey Island and
winters in Florida. She enjoyed reading, cooking, dancing and going
out to eat. She was very proud of her family and grandchildren and
will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and
friend.

Beside her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her only sister, Aurore Albert, July 23, 1976; her granddaughter, Debra LaChance, Feb. 25, 2007; four nephews; and two nieces.

The family would like to thank the ICCU of St. Mary’s Hospital, Russell Park Living Center and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for all their care, kindness and support during their time of need.
