The Bank of America recently awarded Community Concepts Inc. a $10,000 grant to develop an organizationwide communications plan. Community Concepts, the local community action agency serving Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties, helps more than 25,000 people every year with many different programs.

Community Concepts officials said grants give them resources to improve internal systems, which is something nonprofits need but don’t have the resources to address. The goal, officials said, is to make sure that customers and communities know about the many services and programs they provide to improve the quality of people’s lives throughout Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties.

Community Concepts, on the Web at www.community-concepts.org, is led by an all-volunteer board of directors and offers services in early care and education, housing construction, energy efficiency and weatherization, transportation, economic development, family support and property management.
