SABATTUS — Members of the Burnt Meadow Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, have announced the 2010 Good Citizenship Medal recipients from two area high schools.

Meghan Craig has been selected as Lisbon High School’s recipient. She is the daughter of Kathi and Jerry Yergin of Lisbon Falls and Jim and Betsy Craig from Massachusetts. She resides in Lisbon Falls.

A junior, she is a member of Media, Interact Club and is active in student government. She participates in the Big Brother Big Sister program and is President of the Young Adult Volunteer Group.

In 2009, she had more than 100 hours of community service. She is a member of the varsity field hockey and tennis teams. She plans to become a dental hygienist.

Sara Lacroix has been selected as Oak Hill High School’s recipient. She is from Sabattus and is the daughter of Lee and Irene Lacroix. She is active in varsity field hockey, cheerleading and tennis. She is President of the Junior Class, President of the local Future Business Leaders of America chapter and State Treasurer for the State chapter of Future Business Leaders of America.

She also is a member of the Science Club and Prom Committee, a student school board representative and a member of an accreditation committee. She hopes to attend the University of Connecticut and enter a pre-medical program to become a pediatrician.

Members will honor recipients at a luncheon at the home of Corley Byras
at noon on Saturday, April 10.
