Jeannette Poulin
1919 – 2010
ST. HYACINTHE, Quebec — Sister Jeannette Poulin, 90, of the congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Hyacinthe, passed away at the Mother House in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, on Feb. 8, with 70 years of religious life.
She was born in Waterville, Sept. 3, 1919. She entered the community on Aug. 2, 1937, and made profession on Feb. 15, 1940. She was missioned in the United States in Lewiston, most of her life, as bookkeeper. She also served as assistant to the regional superior and as local superior.
She was also stationed in Manitoba, where she worked as an accountant. She was well loved by all. In 1996, she came back to Canada, where she was occupied as a telephone operator and bookkeeper. She retired in 2004 and still continued to do manual work and beautiful hand crafted pictures.
Surviving are one sister, Theresa King of Waterville; and a few nieces and nephews from Maine and Pennsylvania.
