BOCA RATON, Fla. — Harriet Luce Ronco, 71, of Lewiston, passed away on Friday, Feb. 5, at the Boca Raton Community Hospital after a short, courageous battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 9, 1938, to the late Annie and Irven Luce.
She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1956 and Bentley College in 1958. After graduating, she went to work in the accounting department at Central Maine Power Co. in Augusta.
She married Kenneth Ronco on July 17, 1964. While raising their three daughters, she worked parttime for a local accounting firm. She then returned to Central Maine Power until her retirement in 1995.
She had a life-long love of harness racing and enjoyed the last several winters in southern Florida with Ken. But the greatest joy in her life was spending time with her family. She was a gracious and generous woman who always put others needs before her own.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kenneth; three daughters, Mollie Ronco and her partner, Corey Beaulieu, of West Paris, Jennie Breton and her husband, Michael, of Lewiston and Annie Lanzieri and her husband, Mark, of Monmouth; and five grandchildren, Kristi Conroy, Casey Conroy, Stephanie Hamm, Benjamin Hamm and Alexander Breton.
