A fire in a construction warehouse on Arkwright Street Sunday afternoon burned the building to the ground, according to Lewiston Fire Department Deputy Chief Marcel Thibault.
Thibault said the building, owned by Phil Roy Construction Co., was engulfed by fire when Engines 1, 3, 7 and Aerial 1 responded to the 3:50 p.m. alert.
Nothing was saved from the building, which was used as a storage shed for materials, tools and a large boat and motor, said Thibault. He had no estimate of damage to the roughly 20- by 40-foot building and its contents.
