Mary Eleanor Austin
1923 – 2010

LEWISTON — Mary Eleanor Austin, 86, of General Turner Hill, Turner, died Feb. 9, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston, Feb. 13, 1923, the daughter of Leforest and Adeline (Cooley) Estes. She was educated in Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School.

She had worked for more than 32 years at Sears and Roebuck as a clerk. She enjoyed camping and in her earlier years snowmobiling. She was a member of the Turner Center Church and of the Ladies Circle of the church.

She is survived by her son, Dale Austin and his wife, Laura, of Turner; one sister, Rita Rose of Canton; and three grandsons, Mark, Michael and David, all of Turner.
