Favorites: Skowhegan is the team to beat, winning by an average of 21 points. After being the top-seed last year and losing to Messalonskee in the regional final, the Indians have much of that team back. With a KVAC title already in its grasp, Skowhegan is ready for more.
Darkhorse: Hard to call the defending Eastern A champs a darkhorse. Messalonskee had its ups and downs and had to overcome the loss of a starter in the preseason. Still, the Eagles are poised to make the kind of run they made last year. The Eagles averaged 60 points per game and lost its seven games by an average of just seven points. They have the experience to make the kind of run that could earn a rematch with Skowhegan in the final.
