NORWAY — Information provided by a member of the Friends of the Gingerbread Task Force to the selectmen and reported in the on page B2 of Monday’s Region edition does not realistically portray the current financial situation of the group, according to Pat Shearman, chairman of the Task Force and president of the Norway Landmarks Preservation Society, which is the fiscal agent for the project. Shearman said the only relevant budget number currently for the project is $108,200. Shearman said the group also has a commitment of an award of $20,000 from the Davis Family Foundation, if fundraising efforts reach $150,000 within two years. The information was unclear.
