Paul R. Gordon
1925 – 2010
LIVERMORE — Paul R. Gordon, 84, a resident of Butterhill Road, Livermore, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Livermore, the son of Carroll and LaRuth (Ryerson) Gordon. He attended school in Livermore and was a graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner.
On Nov. 12, 1949, he married Doris B. Plante. He raised chickens, worked construction, and at Oxford Paper Co. He also was a bus driver and custodian for the Jay schools retiring in 1990. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, bowling, four wheeling, cutting wood and shoveling snow.
He was an avid Boston sports fan. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Turner Seventh Day Bible Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Gordon of Livermore; two sons, Wayne Gordon and his wife, Paula, of Switzerland, and Barry Gordon and his wife, Karla, of Bath: a daughter, Sandra Clifford and her husband, Scott, of Sebastian, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Louis, Nicole, Jessica, Serena, Andrew, Molly, Zoé and Chelsea; and three great-grandchildren, Mark, Tanner and Séraphine.
He was predeceased by his son, Stephen Gordon; his brother, Robert Gordon; and his sister, Arlene Carver.
