DEAR SUN SPOTS: Concerning the inquiry about lavender sheet spray, go to www.mountainmamaofmaine.com. There is a product called Mama’s Mister that has essential oils of lavender, peppermint and sweet orange in it. Refreshing and soothing. — No Name, No Town
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I was reading the column today and the letter from the lady about lavender spray for her sheets. What she wants is “linen spray,” and she doesn’t have to go online or drive to Freeport. If she goes to TJ Maxx in Auburn or Homegoods in South Portland, they always have some. It is not only lavender but comes in many fragrances, including lots of citrus scents, old rose, green tea and cotton (which is lovely and light). It will be labeled as linen spray and can be found with the liquid soaps, bath gels, etc. Handy hint: If you put linen spray into your water spray bottle when you iron, your clothing ends up with a lovely fragrance, but lavender wouldn’t be good for men’s shirts. About ¼ cup to a large spray water bottle works really nicely. — Jody, No Town

DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Feb. 8, Anne of Lewiston was looking for lavender sheet spray. I found where she can order some. It is in the Harriet Carter catalog. The number is 1-800-377-7878; the item number is c2627, catalog code 11 0281 3092. I just got this catalog on the same day of her letter. Good luck. — Karen, Rumford
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I, too, have been searching for ski pajamas and would like to compare notes with your reader who wrote in about it. Can you put us in contact? You can give that person my e-mail ([email protected] ) and ask them to contact me. I have found a few items, just as you did, and I have checked about 35 sites so far. Thank you. — Betty Ronan, No Town
ANSWER: More than one person wrote in on this topic, but the original writer did not have e-mail. (Many readers do not have computers, so please always include your phone number.) The most recent correspondent on this topic said those pajamas are available on www.haband.com. Sun Spots didn’t find anything on a search for the term ski pajamas, but they had something labeled jersey pajamas that had the ribbed cuffs. I think this may be one of those products that is temporarily out of favor. Perhaps the snowy winter in other parts of the country will reverse that trend.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I, too, have had a problem with the Madison`s Day Spa. I bought my wife an $80 gift card to have her hair done, and now they are closed. I have done some research and have come up with the following information: I spoke to Paul Bulick, and he told me that he has power of attorney over all of the owner’s affairs. The owner is Nadine Gendron of 80 Frost Hill Road, Lisbon. The phone number for Paul Bulick is 353-2424, and his cell number is 713-8107. I hope I have been helpful in this matter. — No Name, Lisbon
ANSWER: It will be very useful if it helps people get their money back.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Oxford Mill End Store (a quilt shop) has the sweater combs for $2.30. They are on Route 26 just beyond the Oxford Speedway on the same side. — No Name, No Town
