AUBURN — A man was stabbed at his home on Hutchins Street on Friday night and his wife was later charged in the attack.

Giles Giguere, 41, was stabbed multiple times at about 8 p.m. inside his home at 13 Hutchins St., police said. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he was listed in satisfactory condition.

His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, although police said Giguere was stabbed numerous times in various parts of his body. Police did not say what kind of weapon was used.

Police arrested Giguere’s wife, 39-year-old Lisa Ouellette. She was charged with aggravated assault and was being held at the Androscoggin County Jail early Saturday on $2,500 bail.
