Domenica ‘Minnie’ Rea
1916 – 2010
CONCORD, N.H. — Domenica “Minnie” Rea, 93, died Feb. 9, at Concord Hospital.
She was born on June 6, 1916, in the Province of Teramo, Italy, the daughter of Antonio and Rosa Dicastantino Ventrella. The family immigrated to America on 1923 and settled in Livermore Falls.
She attended St. Rose of Lima School and has been a resident of Manchester, N.H., since 1955.
She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Manchester.
She had been employed as a cake decorator with Freed’s Bakery for more than 35 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Cotter of Hingham, Mass., and Janice and her husband, Richard Younginger, of Bow, N.H.; her son, Ronald Rea of Manchester; two sisters, Ann Sullivan of Bridgewater, Mass., and Vera Bernard of Latham, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Shelley and her husband, Patrick Murphy, Courtney and Derek Younginger; one great-grandchild, Lily Murphy; and nieces and nephews.
