Aldee J. Frechette Sr.
1932 – 2010
LEWISTON — Aldee J. Frechette Sr., 77, of Pleasant Street, Lewiston, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, as a result of an auto accident.
He was born in Bucksport, Sept. 7, 1932, a son of the late Joseph and Jeanette (St. Pierre) Frechette. He was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong active resident of the community. He was a veteran, serving in the Navy during the Korean War.
He worked at Hahnel Bros. Co. for several years and then at BIW, until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed camping with his family, bowling and a friendly game of horse shoes. He will be mostly remembered for his support and love of hockey. He was also a loyal fan of the Lewiston Maineiacs.
He is survived by his son, Aldee Jr. and fiancee, Lisa; daughter, Anita and husband, Joel; son, Marc and companion, Jen; two sisters, Mary Caron and Rita Comtois; grandchildren, Jessica, Hunter, Paige, Cody, Taylor, Dominik, Brett, Dylan and Amanda; and great-granddaughter, Ramona.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Henry, Paul and Theofon “Chick”; and his sister, Claire.
