LISBON — The town is honoring its citizens, businesses and municipal employees with a Night of Appreciation. The Lisbon Town Council wants to recognize the hard work and dedication of the many volunteers, employees, committee members, businesses and organizations that contribute to the success of the town.
Nominations are being solicited from the public for several award categories: People’s Choice Award, Volunteer of the Year, Employee of the Year (two awards, one for full-time employees and one for part time/reserve), Non-Profit/Community Service Leadership, Business/Business Person and Customer Service.
Nomination category explanations and forms are available on the town’s Web site at www.lisbonme.org. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, March 12.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, at the Holy Trinity Church on Frost Hill Avenue, Lisbon Falls. A spaghetti dinner will be provided and awards will be presented to the winners. RSVPs are required for people wanting to attend no later than March 26, 2010.
