Norman J. Blouin
1924 – 2010
LEWISTON — Norman J. Blouin, 85, of 4 Orchard Circle, Lewiston, died Wednesday, Feb. 17,  at Montello Nursing Home, after a short illness.
Born in Rumford on Oct. 27, 1924, he was the son of Felix and Albertine (Brodeur) Blouin. On Nov. 13, 1948 he married the former Antoinette Racine; they enjoyed 61 years of marriage before her death on June 30, 2009.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII. After serving his country he attended Bliss Business School and was employed by Masselli Brothers as an accountant. He was also employed at Bonafide Mills in Lisbon, before he started his main occupation as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service, where he retired from after 29 years in 1986.
He was a member of American Legion Post #22 and the Eagles Club of Rumford. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid cribbage and card player.  
He is survived by one son, Reginald Blouin and his wife, Ann of Plainfield, Conn.; one brother, Wilfred Blouin and his wife, Peggy, of Rumford; seven sisters, Yvette Chenard, Theresa Paradis, Fernande Patry and her husband, Gerald,all of Lewiston; Priscilla DiConzo and her husband, John, of Rumford; Noella Bean and her husband, Richard, of Florida; Louise Nash of Dixfield; Doris Glines and her husband, John, of Goffstown, N.H.; three grandchildren, Randy Blouin, Ricky Blouin and Jenny Poisson and her husband, Dave; three step-grandchildren, Kristen Laverdiere and her husband, Ryan; Melissa Pineau and her husband, Nick; Jennie Newell; and two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Alexis.
He was predeceased by one son Richard Blouin who died on June 8, 1977.
