The staff, children and families at Bright Ideas Child Care Center in Livermore recently held a raffle fundraiser for Haiti, called Hearts for Haiti. They raffled off three baskets filled with items including gift cards for coffee, gas, a local restaurant and chocolates. The winners were Lindy Leonard of Rumford, Jeremy Johnson of Hartford and Shannon Breton of Hartford. The center raised $555 that will be sent to the Red Cross for Haiti and the children were taught a valuable lesson about helping others in need. Children in the school-age program are pictured with the baskets in the top photo and the preschool and toddler children are in the bottom photo.
