LEWISTON — The community is invited to be a part of the first public dog park in the Twin Cities. Personalized engraved pavers for the pathway leading up to Robin’s Garden and Dog Park are now on sale through the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society.
The 8-inch by 4-inch pavers are being sold for $200 each and will be available for purchase until mid-May when the walkway is installed. Two line inscriptions are available on each paver, limited to 20 characters each line including spaces. Sign up forms are available at the animal shelter and on line at www.gahumane.org.
The nearly one-acre Robin’s Gardens and Dog Park was created thanks to an anonymous donation of a dog-loving citizen and a partnership between the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society and the Animal Emergency Clinic of Mid-Maine. The park will be maintained and operated by the humane society and a group of volunteers.
The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society is located at 55 Strawberry Ave. Those interested in being involved with the Dog Park Committee, learning more about the dog park, volunteering at the shelter or adopting an animal, may call 783-2311, visit www.gahumane.org or view the Facebook page at www.facebook/GAHumane.
