RUMFORD — A benefit for Tracy Bellegarde will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Eagles Club, 13 Oxford Ave.

Bellegarde is a 46-year-old woman who was diagnosed with large-cell lung cancer in October. The cancer has spread to several parts of her body and into her brain in just a few months.

Her family is holding the benefit to help raise money for medical, travel and living expenses while she continues intense treatment for the progressive disease. The daughter of Conrad and Lois Bellegarde of Mexico, she is also the mother of two children, Keith and Kairra Blodgett, and has six grandchildren. She has two sisters, Theresa Bellegarde-Griffin and Lisa Bellegarde-Molina, and a brother, Chuck Bellegarde.

The benefit event will include a Chinese auction, with all products and services donated by local merchants and community members. Tickets are $1 each or 12 for $10. A raffle will be held for a well house handcrafted by Conrad Bellegarde. Raffle tickets are $2 each or 6 for $10.

There will be a bake sale, and a spaghetti dinner will be served from 3 to 6 p.m., for $7 each person.
