BRIDGTON –The Hebron Academy Middle School boys’ ski team took first place in both slalom and giant slalom in the Maine Middle School Ski League Class B State Meet at Shawnee Peak, sweeping three of the top seven places in slalom and three of the top 10 in GS to win the overall by a stunning 52 points.

Will Kannegeiser won slalom and took fifth in GS, while Brooks Layman took second in GS and third in slalom. Sawyer Harkins scored seventh in slalom and 1oth in GS. Other finishers for the boys were Chase Harkins (21st in both slalom and GS), Des Donisi (41st slalom, 43rd GS), and Walter Rasmussen (53rd slalom, 62nd GS).

The Hebron girls team tied for fourth overall, led by Izzy Layman (9th GS, 14th SL), Julia Schneider (14th GS, 20th SL), and Janelle Tardif (25th GS, 27th SL), followed by Alana Chipman (30th SL, 45th GS), Caitlin Shelley (31st SL, 51st GS), Sarah Brouwer (44th SL, 47th GS), Paige Kenison (61st SL, 57th GS) and Lindsey Kenison (65th GS, 66th SL).
