Gerard W. Dumais
1927 – 2010
LEWISTON — Gerard W. Dumais, 82, of Fox Run Drive, Lewiston passed away at his home Feb. 23, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, March 20, 1927, a son of the late Louis and Yvonne (Briand) Dumais. He attended local schools and then served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during World War II. He married the love of his life, the former Corinne Labrie on May 6, 1950, and together they started their family.
He worked at Wade & Dutton as a body painter for more than 37 years. He then worked at Country Kitchen for another eight years until his retirement in 1990. He loved to play the organ especially since he was proud of being self-taught. He was an avid sports fan especially when his children and grandchildren were playing.
He will be missed at his families home projects, since no matter the size of the project, he was always involved with anything involving hands on work.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, tender grandfather and a nurturing great-grandfather.
