AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will launch its “Prime Time” initiative with a film
series in the library’s community room, 49 Spring St.
A
classic 1950s musical will be featured at 2 p.m. Tuesdays during February. “An
American in Paris” will be shown on Tuesday, Feb. 2; “Singin’ in the Rain,” Feb. 9;
“Brigadoon,” Feb. 16; and “Gigi,” Feb. 23.
The films will
be introduced by reference librarian Steve Bouchard, providing a
historical context. Admission is 50 cents, and popcorn and soft drinks
will be available. The “Prime Time” initiative provides
materials, services and programs of interest to adults ages 50 and up.
