LEWISTON — Paul R. Miller, 57, of Monmouth, died at Central Maine Medical Center on Thursday, Feb. 18, after an accidental fall in his home.
He was born in Worcester, Mass., March 1, 1952, the son of Russell and Esther Kearnan Miller. Raised and educated in Auburn, Mass., he learned the art of hand lettering, design and gold leafing early in life while running a sign painting business with his father.
He was employed for many years as a graphic designer by Innovations in Shrewsbury before moving to Maine from Oxford, Mass., in 2002. His current employer was Hodgdon Yachts and Interiors in Richmond.
As an avid sportsman and outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching and photography. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association as well.
The loved ones he leaves behind include his fiancée, Paula Champagne, with whom he made his home in Monmouth; two daughters, Kelly Miller-Craft and husband, Michael Craft, of Lewiston and Megan Turcotte and husband, Thomas, of Webster, Mass.; a sister, Susan Lantz and husband, Ronald, of Charlton, Mass.; four grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Craft and Joshua and Gabriel Turcotte; one niece and two nephews, Heather Lantz of Boston, Mass., Michael Lantz and wife, Emily, of Livingston, N.J., and Jason Lantz and wife, Kate, of McKinleyville, Calif.
