Comedy basketball

RUMFORD — The Mountain Valley Middle School PTO and Pine Tree Cellular will sponsor a comedy basketball event at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 15, at the Mountain Valley High School gymnasium.

The Harlem Superstars versus the Mountain Valley Dream Team will feature Wayne “Above and Beyond” Clark, Kevin “Showboat” Jackson, Chris “Chicken” Turnquest and Ricky “7 Footer” Lopes.

Advance tickets are $7 and are available at Pine Tree Cellular in Mexico, Mountain Valley Middle School and Mountain Valley High School. Tickets at the door will be $8.

Snowmobile club

ROXBURY — The Slippery Sliders snowmobile club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the home of Sylvia Touchette.

PERU — The Peru Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m Tuesday, March 9, at the home of Conrad and Nancy Knox.

Program rescheduled

BETHEL — The Western Mountain Senior College To Your Health Committee has announced that the program scheduled for Feb. 25, entitled “For Every Heart There is a Story” with Dennise Whitley, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 6, at the Bethel Congregational Church, Church Street.
