FARMINGTON — Titcomb Mountain will host a ski-free event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28.

During the Ski Free Day there will be no charge for a lift ticket or nordic trail pass at Titcomb Mountain. Sponsored by Franklin Savings Bank, the day will provide opportunities for families to get outside and enjoy local winter recreation.

In addition, Northern Lights Rental Shop is sponsoring discounted equipment rentals. With this discount, ski or snowboard equipment can be rented for just $5. Equipment is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Titcomb Mountain offers a variety of terrain for beginners to experts for both downhill and cross-country skiing enthusiasts. The terrain park, located on the Beagle Trail, also offers a range of features for all skiers and riders. Titcomb Mountain also has a “Pony Lift” handle tow for beginners and young families.

In case of rain or if conditions don’t allow for the event to take place on Feb. 28, the back-up date will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.Sunday, March 7.
