Stanley R. Pulsifer
1938 – 2010
LEWISTON — Stanley R. Pulsifer, 71, a resident at Montello Manor, formerly of Poland died at home, Thursday, Feb. 25.
He was born in Lewiston, March 21, 1938, the son of Roger and Irene Swan Pulsifer. He attended the Ricker Hill School and graduated from Edward Little High School.
He had been a film editor at Channel 8 for many years. He later worked as a groundskeeper at Poland Spring golf course and was a security guard at Poland Spring Bottling Plant. He married Janet Hanscom on May 28, 1960. He was an honorary member of the Poland Fire Department. He was a member of the Grange in Poland and Poland Community Church. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking, in his younger years he wrote poetry.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of Poland; many nieces and nephews; and his “adopted sistah” Donna Searles.
He was predeceased by his parents; and two sisters, Arlene and Shirley.
His family wishes to thank the staff at Montello Manor for the loving care that Stanley received while there.
