LIVERMORE — Announcement is made of the engagement of Jill Courtney MacDonald and William Joel Brown, both of Bangor.

Miss MacDonald is the daughter of Ross E. MacDonald Jr. and Jeanette MacDonald of Livermore. She is a 2005 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and attended Pierre’s School of Cosmetology. She is employed at the Clinique counter at Macy’s in Bangor and is assistant manager of Gifford’s Ice Cream in Bangor.

Mr. Brown is the son of Lawrence and Dione Brown of Buckfield. He is a graduate of Buckfield High School and served a one-year tour in Iraq with the Maine National Guard. He plans to graduate from Husson University in May. He is employed full time at Husson Security.

An Aug. 28 wedding will be held in Buckfield.
