Susan Horton, left, executive director of the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, was the guest speaker at the Central Maine Medical Center Associates monthly meeting in February, designated by the American Heart Association as Heart Month. Horton discussed CMHVI’s history and development, touching upon the latest cardiac technology being used at the Lewiston facility. The group members, presently led by CMMC Associate President Christine Bosse, right, serve as goodwill ambassadors, fundraisers and financial supporters for CMMC. Luncheon meetings are held on the second Monday each month at the Central Maine Medical Center College for Nursing and Health Professions. The speaker for the March 8 meeting will be Maureen Higgins, cancer health outreach coordinator at the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing.
