NORWAY — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19, met Feb. 24, at the home of Marilyn Jones. The meeting was called to order by Senior Vice President Wanda Ryerson in the absence of the President Gail Butterfield.

Those present were Elaine Lagueux, Marilyn Jones, Dorothy Morency and Lynn Cummings-Pike. Lagueux acted as chaplain pro-tem. It was reported that Eleanor Smith is at Norway Rehab.

The second nomination of new officers was held for Marilyn Jones, president; Gail Butterfield, senior vice president; Marge Nihan, junior vice president; Mary “Beth” Jones, treasurer; Wanda Ryerson, patriotic instructor; Loretta Andrews, chaplain; Gail Butterfield, Leslie Dean and Elaine Lagueux, council members.

The slate of new officers was voted on and accepted. Installation followed with past tent president, Elaine Lagueux, serving as installing officer.

Dorothy Morency was appointed secretary; Lynn Cummings-Pike, Elaine Lagueux and Brenda Files as color bearers. One more will be appointed at a later date.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 24, at a place to be announced.
