Anita G. ‘Mae’ Doyon

1927 – 2010

LEWISTON — Anita G. (Mae) Doyon, 82, of Lewiston passed away on Monday, March 8, at d’Youville Pavilion with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 29, 1927, to Almina Lauzon and Theodore Tereault. She was educated in Lewiston schools. She was the widow of Roger B. Doyon. He passed away on Nov. 26, 1962. She worked for many years at Knapp Shoe and the Campus Cuisine.

She enjoyed playing cards, and going to Bingo. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Diane Nadeau of Lewiston, Elaine (Gerry) Lajoie of Sabattus, Paul (Maggie) Doyon of Lewiston, Jim (Vivian) Doyon of Greene and David of Punta Gorda Fla.; her son-in-law, Peter Bonk; her grandchildren, Sarah (Eric) Schenone, Kimberly (Brian) King, Brandon (Chirstina) Tardif, Cody Tardif, Kelly (Jim) Field, Justin Doyon, Jeff Nadeau and West Doyon; her two great grandaughters, Alivia Field and Ellery Schenone; several sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Denise Bonk; her parents; and her brothers, Gabriel and Raymond.

Her family would like to thank the staff at d’Youville Pavilion for their caring and compassion during her time there.
